By enhancing account protection and adding Minecraft’s new security features, we will help keep you and your account safe. You can use two-factor authentication if you move to a Microsoft account, making it significantly harder for hackers to access your account. We’ll keep enhancing the additional player protection tools as time goes on. If you are currently playing Java Version using a Mojang account, you must switch to a Microsoft account. You won’t need it any longer! Following migration, you can access the Minecraft Launcher by logging in with your Microsoft account.
A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT TO MY MOJANG ACCOUNT?
Your profile page on Minecraft & the Minecraft launcher will migrate you when your account is ready to be migrated. If you are told that you have registered, only then can you click on the advertisement to migrate. If you can’t locate the announcement on Minecraft.net or the launcher in Minecraft, you won’t have to wait much longer; instead, we’ll let you know when it’s your turn. The migration process is broken down into five easy parts.
Click the advertisement to migrate. Create an new Microsoft account if you don’t already have one or sign up with an existing one. Don’t worry, you don’t need an Xbox to set up your profile. Verify the migration of your Microsoft account. Farewell! Play Minecraft now with Microsoft: Java Version.
A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT TO A LEGACY MINECRAFT ACCOUNT
When you receive the email, you don’t need to fly immediately; you have time to migrate. However, once the voluntary migration period has passed, you will need to transfer your account to avoid having it closed. No, not just now. You can continue to log-in with your old Minecraft account until we have a solution, though. Legacy Minecraft accounts were used between 2010 and 2012.
You can tell whether you have one if it’s your user name rather than your email address. Do not worry; the only thing that changes is how you log into the game. We convert all Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts solely, giving you access to new security. Minecraft: The Java Version will not change, and we will continue to update and advertise it.
HAS THE ACCOUNT BEEN COMPROMISED?

Migration Method:
Your Mojang account now contains all of your knowledge, including your username, worlds, content, and capes. If you move your Mojang account to an Microsoft account that has previously been used to play Bedrock, you can access both games with that account (on any platform). When you begin the migration procedure, you will sign up for your current Microsoft account and move your Mojang account there.
You will needs to move each Mojang account to a new Microsoft account, similar to how players currently use a different email address per Mojang account. To make managing multiple accounts and play sessions in Minecraft easier, we’ve developed a new account switching tool. Your in-game username for the Java Version is still usable. Choosing an Xbox Gamertag is a must for account migration. We are developing a solution for third-party launchers, and we’ll keep you informed as we go.
Sign up for a Microsoft Account:
If you use some Microsoft services, you have a Microsoft account (Office, Outlook, etc.). If you do not already have a account, you can build one during the login procedure. Click Register on the Microsoft website. Pick Next after providing the email, phone number, or Skype link you use for other services, like as Outlook, Workplace, etc. Can you choose? If you don’t have a Microsoft account, no account? Build one! Make one! Please take note that we have already recommended that you utilise and use a daily email. Put in your password and choose If you are the next to enter your account, hold me in the box.
